For over 25 years I have spent much of my time building my knowledge and expertise in photography, starting with analogue film technology.
The last 10 of those years have been spent as a Sydney-based freelance photographer, specialising in Corporate Events & Portraiture. Capturing the moment and candour amongst the excitement and buzz is what I love most, working with calm and focus to ensure every client is satisfied beyond their expectation. My professional career has exposed me to a wide variety of event and photography experiences beyond commercial events and portraiture, including weddings, fine art landscapes, private events and street art, all of which have enhanced my expertise across varying mediums.
My mantra throughout my years of experience, personal and professional, has been to respect the power of listening - to connect to each client and their needs, providing them with the confidence to be themselves and enjoy their event or experience while I take care of capturing that enjoyment. On the job, I enjoy adapting to the unique context of every event to deliver a product that reflects my high standard to surpasses expectations.
Landscape photography is a particular passion of mine, a passion that I have explored through my travels across Australia, to capture its diverse lands and people. My medium of choice to capture the colours and detail of Australiana is the highest quality colour / black and white film, rendering its true essence, detail and history. I hand develop my own rolls to allow me full control over the final effect, allowing me to regularly discover new and never-before-used techniques, humbling me to remain forever a student in the art form of photography.
